Welcome

I am a licensed teacher who currently works for the Clark County School District. This teaching portfolio provides snapshots of my journey as an educator.

I started my teaching career as a long-term substitute in 2016. After getting my Masters in Elementary Education, I was hired as a 1st grade teacher at C. P. Squires ES in 2017. Two years later, I accepted an offer to teach 3rd grade Math.

In 2019, I was fortunate to be chosen as a Teacher Leader Academy (TLA) participant. This leadership development program enhanced my communication skills, collaboration skills, problem-solving skills, as well as my management skills. The training I received from TLA equipped me with knowledge and confidence to perform my duties as a Math Strategist, the last position I held at C. P. Squires.

After working 6 years as an elementary educator, I decided that it was time for a change. I’ve brought my experience and skillset to Grant Sawyer MS. Currently, I work as an 8th grade Math teacher.
